human-AI interaction AI explainability psychometrics physiological measures
This PhD research investigates how AI explainability (XAI), particularly with regard to explaining case-specific AI limitations, can promote appropriate dependence on AI and optimize joint performance, leading to human-AI synergy during AI-assisted decision-making tasks.
Toey’s research is also involved utilizing open data to evaluate the psychometric properties of scales used in human-robot and human-automation interaction research.
→ Currently, Toey is investigating the effect of this explainability information in the context of LLM. Data collection for this project will begin in Fall 2026.
